Why charge for access?

We know that there’s a lot of free cooking content available online. All organizations require funding in order to pay their employees and run their operations. At ATK, we have a team of 50+ full time employees who work in our test kitchen. While our sponsors support our TV production costs, our work is supported by home cooks; we do not accept outside advertising. Some companies generate funding by serving ads on their website and app. However, contributions from our members and subscribers allow us to continue to do what we do best: create unbiased content and fool-proof recipes, free of ads. In addition to developing reliable recipes, we test supermarket ingredients and equipment to find the best-quality products. We’ve been an independent, unbiased, and trusted resource for cooking information and expertise since 1993.
